1. Name of Organization and Individuals

2. What is your business purpose and intended social good?
We are a delivery service company using cargo trikes that exert a positive environmental impact. We feel it is important to not contribute to global warming and use pedal power instead of fossil fuels. This directly enhances the health and well-being of our communities and helps relieve urban congestion.
3. How does your business use bikes or support bicycling?
Bicycles are our lives, whether it is for fun, work, exercise this is a lifestyle not a trend. Wenzday Jane is a member of SCUL (www.scul.org), a bicycle chopper group that modifies bicycles as unconventional art, Dan races on an all vegan cycling team for OrganicAthlete (www.organicathlete.org) as well as works as a bicycle mechanic and volunteers time with MassBike (www.massbike.org) our local advocacy group and Bicycle Benefits (www.bicyclebenefits.com) a new nation wide cyclist program. The rest of the team commute by bicycle year round and are involved with local bicycle culture as well.
4. When did your business start using bicycles or interested in bicycling and why?
We were bicycle delivery from the get-go. Since bicycles are our lives, its makes much more sense for bicycles to infiltrate every aspect of what we do. As Boston residents we knew first hand that bicycle delivery is faster (can zig-zag through automobiles stuck in traffic and not worry about finding a parking space) as well as cheaper (cost of vehicles, insurance, fuel, maintenance), and the most important that it is better for our environment. As individuals we don't just use a bike as a way to get from here to there. We care about our planet and recycle, work with companies who have organic food, Dan and his fiance even won the Green Boston Wedding Giveaway, only an employee of Metro Pedal Power could be half of the Greenest couple in Boston!
5. What's next for your business and bicycling?
Now that it is growing season, we are working with more local farm CSA programs delivering produce to your home or office by bike! We are also working with local businesses including Harvard University Bookstore, Taza Chocolates, Greenward, Harvest Co-Op, Petsi Pies, and hope to increase our growing list of eco-conscious clients. We are constantly going to bicycle events, meetings, and meeting more people to find more ways for better our environment and share our love of bicycles, the planet, and inspire others to do as we do. Whether its Catering Delivery, Wholesale Distribution, CSA and Farm Produce, Grocery Delivery, Retail Distribution, Newspaper and Magazine Distribution, Errand Service, or Cargo Bicycle Vehicle Sales and Service we are available to help you meet your needs by your deadlines.
